Hood River 4/22/2018
Event #4 on the 2018 Oregon region trail was held on 4/22/2018 at Hood River / Port of Hood River Ramp. We are now past the mid-point in the season. Check out the points standings to see which teams are at the top of the heap! Even if you haven't started fishing, it's not too late to jump into the season. American Bass offers a Traveler's region. American Bass Traveler's Region allows you to fish and earn points by fishing in two or more regions. Build you own schedule and qualify for one of the exciting American Bass/Ranger Boats Team Classic's!
There are three American Bass/Ranger Boats team championships held each year by American Bass. The South Team Classic will be held at Lake Havasu, AZ on 9/21/18-9/22/18, the Northwest Team Classic will be on Lake Roosevelt, WA on 10/19/18-10/20/18 and the North Team Classic will be held on Shasta on 11/2/18-11/3/18.
Each exciting American Bass/Ranger Boats Team Classic's awards a new Ranger/Mercury/Lowrance boat package to the winning team. These events are invitation only events. Teams earn an invitation by qualifying in one of the many American Bass team regions. First place at each of the Team Classic's will receive a Ranger/Mercury boat package no matter the number of boats competing! The Team Classics feature a $200 basic entry fee (plus mandatory event fees) with a 100% payback of the entry fee to second place through the 20% of field. Examples; if there are 100 boats in the Team Classic, there would be $20,000 cash awarded to 2nd-20th places. If there are 80 boats in the Team Classic, there would be $16,000 cash awarded to 2nd16th places. The $200 entry is required, teams may also choose to enter additional options for a chance to win even more cash! If you have never qualified, you need to make this your year!

Earning the championship at Hood River / Port of Hood River Rampwas the team of Ron Wiseman of Pendleton, OR and to Phil Reich of Umatilla, OR. They had 5 Bass that weighed 22.08lbs! They received $1745.00 CASH and two great plaques! Congratulations on a great victory! Ron is a member of the, Ranger Boats, Valley Marine Spokane WA, Black Water Int., and Bass Chow Plastics teams. Phil is a member of the Valley Marine Spokane WA and Skinny Bear Jigs teams.
The runner-up position at Hood River / Port of Hood River Rampwent to the team of Kory Ray & Todd Woolard. They had 5 Bass weighing 20.8lbs. They received $1160.00 CASH and a pair of 2nd place plaques! Kory is a member of the, Ranger Boats, Mercury Outboards, Lowrance, Motor Guide, and Power Pole teams. Great job!
Coming in 3rd place we had the team of Matthew Elliott & Patrick Pierce. They weighed 5 Bass going 20.71lbs! They collected $844.00 CASH for their day of fishing! Nice going guys!
The team that took home the 4th place plaques at Hood River / Port of Hood River Ramp was Renaud Pelletier & Dan Betz. They weighed in 5 Bass for a total weight of 19.24lbs and collected $276.00 CASH! Renaud is a member of the G Loomis teams. A strong 4th place Finish!
Rounding out the top 5 was the team of Arthur Ferreira Sr. & Jay Culver. They had 5 Bass weighing 18.09lbs. They received $210.00 CASH! Arthur is a member of the, Superior Silkscreen, Pegas Custom Rods, Hitch Pro & Tow, and Drain Raider Plumbing teams. Great job, a top 5 finish!
The biggest Bass of the day was weighed in by the team of Matthew Elliott & Patrick Pierce. Their big fish weighed 5.57 pounds!
