The weather was perfect for our March 22nd tournament. The morning was crisp but it soon warmed up to a great day. The fishing was a little tough by DVL standards. Maybe the bright full moon took its toll. In the end, it still took 23 lbs to win. Dino & Joey Caporuscio took top honors! Right before we closed registration, Don Peterson & Douglas Browning jumped out of the general public line and entered the tournament. Good decision! They finished 2nd and had the biggest Bass of the day, 6.11 lbs! In 3rd place was our defending Anglers of the Year, Rick & Kyle Grover. Looks like they will repeat! Finishing in 4th place was the hottest team in the High Desert Region, Larry Reed & Ken Gwynn. They have won the first 4 events in that region! Thanks to everyone for coming out. Our next event will be on May 3rd. Better respool for that one!!!

ATTENTION ANGLERS

Here is the info you need for Quagga Mussel inspection: Arrive between 4:30AM and 5:15AM for registration. Please try to get to the lake no later than 5:15 so that everyone is ready for the boat inspection. Boat inspection should start about 5:30AM. Make sure your drain plug is pulled and your live wells are CLEAN & DRY. If you have not had an inspection before, please make sure your livewells are spotless! Here are the questions you will be asked: 1) Has your boat been in Quagga Mussel infested water within the past 7 days? (The lake official told me that if you fished any infested water last weekend, and your boat was out of the water and completely dry all week, you will be allowed to launch.) Again, make sure everything is clean and dry. 2) Has your boat been in infested waters for more than 24 consecutive hours during the last 12 days? If so, you will not be allowed to launch until your boat has been dry for 12 days.
