Tournament Article This was
the 2nd qualifying event in American Bass Colorado River region for the
2005 tournament season! This event
was held on 1/8/2005 at Havasu out of Windsor Beach Ramp. This exciting region features great
fishing. This spring the fishing
will really turn on with all of the rains we recently received. The Colorado River region will qualify
angler's for the 2005 American Bass North Team Classic! The American Bass South Team Classic
features a new Nitro/Mercury Bass Boat package to first place and the
highest CASH paybacks of any championship in Northern California. PLUS, there is no basic entry fee for
the Team Classic! Action Tackle & Woody’s Threads was
the co-sponsor of this event. A big
thanks to Action Tackle & Woody’s Threads for their support! 1st
place at this event went to Larry Marquez M. of Lk Havasu, AZ and to Jason
Marquez of Lk Havasu, AZ. They had a 5 Bass that weighed 15.95 lbs! They received $1,048.00 CASH and two
great plaques! Congratulations on a
great victory! 2nd
place went to the team of Brad Johnson & Eric Ulrich. They had a limit weighing 14.65
lbs. They received $1,220.00 CASH
and a pair of 2nd place plaques! Brad is a member of the Business Solutions
Consulting team. Great job! In 3rd
place we had Frank Stewart & Stan Sargent. They weighed in a limit going 13.63 lbs! They collected $752.00
CASH for their day of fishing! Frank is a member of the Kalin Lures team. Nice going guys! In 4th
place we had Brent Becker & Pat Coghlan. They weighed in 13.6 lbs and collected $350.00 CASH! Brent is a member of the Skeeter State
Team, Blackjack Jigs, Primerica Financial Services and Carolina Lunker
Sauce teams. Rounding out the top 5 was the team of David
Oeschner & Daniel McDonald.
They had a limit weighing 12.68 lbs. They received $250.00 CASH! The
biggest Bass of the day was weighed in by the team of Brad Johnson &
Eric Ulrich. Their big fish 5
pounds! Click
